A new garden for East Anglia's Children's Hospices

This is an exciting new project and a significant personal challenge.  I'm hoping to raise £150K to build a new garden for the EACH Hospice at Milton, near Cambridge, UK.

East Anglia's Children's Hospices care for children with life-limiting illnesses and I would love to see my design for this garden become a reality.

I was inspired by some Romany gypsies I met in summer 2020 - thinking of journeys long and short, and in the case of EACH, many journeys through life are sadly very short.

A Romany horse sculpture will be created by sculptor Tom Hiscocks and two timber pavilions, inspired by the shape of gypsy bow-top caravans, will be created by Angus Ross.

In the interests of sustainability, I plan to use local materials for the hard landscaping; planting will enhance the existing trees and will be pollinator-friendly as far as possible.  The garden has been designed to be low maintenance in order that the team of volunteers can manage this new space as well as the existing gardens.

I believe the garden will be a peaceful place for quiet contemplation as well as a social & activity space for the community of EACH families and carers.
