I love designing outside spaces which enhance a home, aesthetically and practically. By listening to my clients’ wishes, I can create the perfect outdoor room, using the appropriate combination of hard landscaping materials and planting.
I am passionate about planting design and plant combinations, always remembering the words of the brilliant plantswoman, Beth Chatto OBE, ‘Right Plant, Right Place.’
I follow Beth’s motto in all aspects of design. It’s not just the planting that has to be absolutely right; all the other elements must be sympathetic to the setting and suitable to the scheme.

“Jane Scott Moncrieff has worked with The Gurkha Welfare Trust over the last 18 months to create two of the most evocative and authentic Himalayan gardens in support of our charity and of the valiant soldiers and their widows who live in the foothills of the Himalayas. Her ‘Best in Show’ and ‘Gold Award’ garden at the Sandringham Flower Show in July 2018 was created under unusually hot and dry conditions and this year, at BBC Gardeners World Live at the NEC, her garden was built in torrential rain.
